For Sale: 1969 Datsun 1600 in Reseda, California for sale in Reseda, CA

1 of 25
Vehicle Description This 1969 Datsun 1600 Fairlady is a survivor with one repaint.
The car was originally sold in Los Angeles, and has spent its entire life in LA.
The current owner is the third owner, and has had the car since August of 2007.
The original owner bought the car from Downtown LA Datsun in late 1968 and had it until 2007.
He sold it to someone who cleaned it up and resold it within 6 months because he ended up having to move to another state.
The car comes with the original owner's manual, maintenance book, and all the receipts showing the maintenance over the life of the car; from 1968 until now.
Current owner spent roughly $10k on a repaint in 2007 and added a hidden stereo system, but nothing else about the originality of the car has been changed.
It does have a new convertible top and a new tonneau cover.
The true mileage of this car is unknown, as the odometer doesn't work, but the car drives like a low mileage well cared for vehicle.
All the other gauges work.
This car has been garaged in Southern California its entire life.
It runs really well (both idling and accelerating).
It doesn't have power steering, or power brakes (has drum brakes), but it handles and stops well.
These cars were built to race in SCCA racing, so they are very responsive and fun to drive.
The current owner is Japanese American, and has taken loving care of this car for 16 years.
The person writing this ad is a local friend who has bought and sold classic cars for a while, so I am helping him with the advertisement.
One drive and you will know this car is in excellent shape.
Contact Henry for an appointment to come by and test drive, or to send an inspector of your choice to check the car out.
